Congenital absence of vagina and uterus, also known as congenital cryptic vagina, means girls who have no vagina and uterus, but have ovary, and appear the secondary female characteristic with normal female karyotype. It is also called “Stone Girl” with Chinese saying. The symptom is caused by obstacles from internal or external environment during the embryonic development period, and another reason is, maybe, the result of paramesonephric (mullerian) duct dysplasia which is induced by gene mutation. They usually born as a Rokitansky-kustner-hauser who has normal vulvae, normal functional ovaries but have absence of vagina, rudimentary uterus and hypogenetic oviduct. Few of them are testicular feminization (also means androgen insensitivity syndrome and true hemaphroditism or gonadal dysgenesis.
